Meet the team:

David is President and Founder of Lumen Insurance, Angel Investor, Co-Founder of InsurTech ATX, a mentor for several accelerator programs, and serves as an advisor to several startups. He is an insurance veteran with 14 years of experience in the Austin market.

David is also a military veteran and served over 6 years in the Air force as a nuclear weapons officer. He earned a degree from Texas A&M for undergrad and an M.B.A. from Colorado State. David lives in Austin with his wife, Bethany, and three kids, Tate, Eli and Claire.

Andrew, Co-Founder of InsurTech ATX, has held various roles across the Cyber insurance industry including Underwriting, Business Development, Agency relations, and Insurance Product Development. He currently serves as the director of Insurance Solutions at SecurityScorecard where he focuses on enabling insurance brokers and carriers to make the (cyber) world a safer place.

Outside of work, he enjoys podcasting (Beyond the Policy), community organizing (InsurTech ATX), and advising up-and-coming startups around the globe.

Marie is InsurTech ATX’s Marketing Coordinator where she oversees social media content, branding, marketing strategy, and maintains and designs the website and has been working in the role for 3+ years. She’s also a graduate of Mississippi State University.

When she is not working, she enjoys traveling, reading and writing.
